Hosting my first car meet at Subaru Wesley Chapel - Ashley S

My name is Ashley, also known online as "AshDaCat," and I've been part of the automotive community for years through my love for cars, driving manual transmission, and bringing people together through social media and events. Hosting my first car meet was something incredibly special to me because it wasn't just about cars, it was about community. The automotive world has connected me with so many amazing people from different backgrounds, and I wanted to create an environment where everyone felt welcome, whether they drove a Subaru, a Honda, an exotic car, or simply loved the car scene. What made this event even more meaningful was seeing complete strangers connect over a shared passion. Families came out together, friendships were formed, local businesses were supported, and the energy throughout the event was something I'll never forget. Working alongside Tampa Bay Subies, North Florida type R/S and partnering with Subaru of Wesley Chapel has been an amazing experience. Their support helped bring the vision to life and showed how strong the local car community really is when people come together for something positive. After the success of the first meet, we are continuing to grow these events into something even bigger and I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunities, friendships, and support the car community has brought into my life, and I'm excited to continue building events that bring people together through a shared passion for cars.

Media Mother's Day Arts and Crafts!

Mother's Day Arts and Crafts! - Stephen S

I had the opportunity to visit St. Joseph's Children's Hospital to help with a special Mother's Day arts and crafts activity for the children. As soon as I walked into the room, I could feel both excitement and nervousness from the kids as they prepared to make gifts for their moms. The tables were filled with colorful paper, markers, stickers, paint, and ribbons. Each child had the chance to create something unique and meaningful. Some made handmade cards with sweet messages, while others decorated flower pots and picture frames. It was amazing to see how creative and thoughtful they were. I spent time helping the children cut shapes, glue decorations, and write messages for their mothers. One little girl carefully painted hearts all over her card and said she wanted her mom to know how much she loved her. Another child proudly showed me a bracelet he made, explaining that his mom's favorite color was purple. Even though many of the children were going through difficult times, their smiles and laughter filled the room. The activity gave them a chance to focus on something joyful and exciting. It was clear how much love they had for their mothers and how important it was for them to create something special by hand. By the end of the event, the room was covered with beautiful crafts and happy faces. Watching the children proudly hold up their Mother's Day gifts was incredibly rewarding. Visiting the hospital reminded me how small acts of kindness and creativity can bring comfort and happiness to others. It was a meaningful experience that I will never forget, and I hope the mothers receiving those gifts felt the love that went into every single craft.

Driving Change in Tampa Bay through Generosity and Compassion - Leia B

The Auto Giant Group and Subaru of Wesley Chapel, Florida launched efforts to raise support for mental health, substance use treatment and affordable housing at Ibis Healthcare's annual gala over the top! Their donation of a brand new 2026 Subaru Outback wowed our guests and elevated the level of excitement around supporting our critical mission to new heights, increasing visibility for our new brand as Ibis Healthcare represents the recent merger of two foundational non-profit organizations in Tampa Bay, Gracepoint and Cove Behavioral Health. Through this merger, Ibis Healthcare serves over 50,000 people per year in our community. Both raising support for and increasing awareness and access to our critical services is the mission, while we reduce stigma around mental illness and addiction. The winner of the brand-new Subaru Outback is Brooke Pratt, a Speech Language Pathologist for Hillsborough County Public Schools who was surprised to find, when she opened the hatch to her new car, that Subaru of Wesley Chapel had filled the back of the car with school supplies for the elementary and middle school students with whom she works! Scott Fink, GM John Little, and Chief Love Officer Stephen Solomon were incredible to work with every step of the way toward this celebratory moment. The generosity, compassion, and positive energy displayed by the Subaru of Wesley Chapel team exuded love for their community and pride in helping to make the world a brighter place in so many ways. We are incredibly grateful for the many lives you touched through hope and healing through your thoughtfulness and kindness. *Video credit to Ibis Healthcare board member Amandia Reese Craig.

Steer Auction - Stephen S

Racheal had never been afraid of hard workbut asking for help was different. The county fair was only three weeks away, and her steer stood tall and glossy in the late summer sun. Months of early mornings, feed schedules, brushing, walking, and patient training had led to this moment. But for Racheal, the fair wasn't just about ribbons. It was about something bigger. It was about 4-H and FFA. One evening, she gathered her courage and reached out to Scott. She knew he was respected in the communitya business owner who believed in supporting local families. Still, she felt her stomach flutter as she sent her email. "Hi Scott, I wanted to talk to you about the county fair livestock auction." She explained how 4-H and FFA weren't just clubs where kids raised animals. They were programs that taught responsibility, financial literacy, and, most importantly, communication. Members learned how to shake hands firmly, make eye contact, write thank-you letters, track expenses, and explain to potential buyers why their projects mattered. "Not everyone understands what goes into it," she said. "It's more than feeding a steer. It's budgeting feed costs, tracking weight gain, learning public speaking, and representing our community with pride." Racheal talked about how 4-H teaches young people leadership and service, while FFA builds agricultural knowledge and confidence. She shared how standing in front of buyers and explaining months of work forces kids to step outside their comfort zones. It teaches them how to communicate with people who may not know much about agriculture at alland how to do it respectfully and clearly. Scott listened. She didn't pressure him. She simply asked if he would consider coming to the auction and supporting the youtheven if it was just by showing up. Because to Racheal, that was the most important part. "Just having community members there means everything," she said. "It shows us that what we're learning matters." A few days later, Scott got her in touch with Stephen. To listen to more of her story. Auction day arrived with the familiar hum of fans, the scent of sawdust, and the buzz of excited families filling the livestock barn. Then she saw him. Stephen. Who believes in supporting youth agriculture just as strongly. Stephen stood along the rail, auction card in hand, ready to bid. As Racheal led her steer into the spotlight, she did what 4-H and FFA had trained her to do. She stood tall. She introduced herself clearly. She explained Duke's feed program, daily exercise routine, and final weight. She thanked buyers for investing in young people. The bidding started. Hands lifted. Voices called. Stephen raised his card. Another bidder countered. Back and forth it went, the auctioneer's chant rising in tempo. When the gavel finally dropped, applause filled the barn. Her steer was one of the top-selling animals at the fair. Stephen stepped forward after the sale and shook her hand. "You did an outstanding job," he told her. "This is what community is about." "Your passion made it easy to support you." In that moment, Racheal realized something powerful: the auction wasn't just about selling livestock. It was about bridging gapsbetween agriculture and town, between youth and business leaders, between effort and opportunity. All she had done was reach out. And by simply showing up, Stephen and Scott had helped make her one of the top sellers at the fairbut more importantly, they had shown a young exhibitor that her voice, her work, and her future mattered. As the sun set over the fairgrounds that evening, Racheal wasn't just excited about the sale. She was excited about what it represented: a community willing to invest in its kids. And that, to her, was worth more than any ribbon

Soft Gifts, Strong Hearts: Subaru Loves to Care - Grace F

A blanket may seem like a simple gift, but on a quiet afternoon at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, it became a symbol of comfort, compassion, and community. Thanks to the Subaru Loves to Care initiative, dozens of warm, soft blankets were hand-delivered to cancer patients currently undergoing treatment, offering not only physical warmth but also emotional strength. Partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Subaru representatives visited the hospital with arms full of care packageseach one containing a blanket, a message of encouragement, and the quiet yet powerful reminder: 'You are not alone.' As volunteers and staff moved through the infusion rooms and patient wings, they gently placed the blankets in the hands and laps of patients, some in the middle of chemotherapy, others resting between treatments. For many, it was more than a gesture. It was a moment of connection during a time that often feels isolating. It's not just a blanket, said one patient, holding back tears. Its a reminder that someone out there is rooting for me, even if they dont know me. The room was filled with soft smiles and quiet conversations as Subaru team members sat with patients, listened to their stories, and offered words of encouragement. Some patients wrapped the blankets around their shoulders immediately. Others tucked them beside them, clutching the included note cards with messages like Keep fighting. You are strong. This visit was part of Subaru's nationwide Loves to Care campaign, which emphasizes giving back to those battling serious illness by offering small acts of kindness with lasting impact. Since the program began, tens of thousands of blankets and handwritten notes have been shared with cancer patients nationwide. Hospital staff shared how much these gestures mean to the people they serve. Cancer treatment can feel long and exhausting, said a volunteer nurse, but something as simple as a blanketa soft, warm embracecan lift someones spirit and remind them that the world hasnt forgotten them. As the Subaru team prepared to leave, one volunteer summed up the experience perfectly: We may not know what each patient is going through, but today, we hope they felt seen, supported, and deeply cared for. In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially in the face of illness, the Subaru Loves to Care initiative offers a much-needed message: You matter. You are loved. Keep going.

Built with Love, Framed by Hope - Grace F

Under a bright summer sky, the scent of fresh paint still lingering in the air, a beautiful two-bedroom house stood proudly on the corner of Maple and 10th Street. But this wasnt just any houseit was a home built on hope, hard work, and a communitys shared commitment to lifting one another. Over the past several months, dozens of volunteers gathered day after day at the future home of the Golden family, working alongside Habitat for Humanity staff to bring a dream to life. The journey was long and at times challenging, but every hour spent hammering, painting, installing, and landscaping was filled with purpose and care. Its more than just building a house, said the site coordinator. Its building a future. Volunteers came from all across the communitylocal churches, schools, companies, and familiesdonating countless hours and gallons of sweat equity. Teams raised walls, hung drywall, painted bedrooms, installed cabinets and doors, laid some grass, and planted trees. One weekend, a group stayed late to finish painting the kitchen walls a cheerful light yellow, chosen by the Goldens to reflect warmth and joy. Another crew carefully installed the front door, knowing it would one day welcome friends, birthdays, holiday meals, and milestones yet to come. On dedication day, the sun beamed down on a crowd of smiling faces. Balloons swayed gently in the wind, and neighbors stood alongside volunteers, staff, and supporters to celebrate a new beginning. The Golden family stood in front of their new home, overwhelmed with gratitude. This house is a dream come true for us, said Ms. Golden, holding her youngest child in her arms. We are so thankful for every single person who helped build this with love. You didnt just build us a homeyou gave us hope and stability. With applause and cheers, Scott Fink handed the Golden family their keys. It was more than a simple handoffit was a symbol of new opportunities, safe nights, and brighter tomorrows. For the staff who lifted a hammer, planted a flower, or offered encouragement, the dedication marked the beautiful result of unity and compassion. And for the Golden family, it was the first page of a brand-new chapterwritten by hard work, community spirit, and the kindness of strangers who became friends. As the crowd began to disperse, one volunteer summed it up best: We came to build a house, but we ended up building a home. And thats what matters.

Subaru Retailers Team Up to Support Hurricane Relief Efforts - Jess M

At Subaru of Wesley Chapel, were always ready to step up and support our communities, especially in times of crisis. This commitment is at the heart of the Subaru Love Promise®. When Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated the Eastern region, Subaru retailers like us immediately sprang into action. Alongside other Subaru retailers, Subaru of America, and local organizations, we assessed the most urgent needs in the affected areas. It quickly became clear that local food banks were struggling to keep up with the surge in demand as they worked to support people hit hardest by the storms. In response, we teamed up with 67 Subaru retailers across the region to launch a $400,000 match campaign to aid the hurricane relief efforts of Feeding America®. Subaru of Wesley Chapel proudly contributed $30000 to this initiative. While the immediate impact of the storms fades from the headlines, many of our neighbors continue to face long-term challenges like food insecurity, water shortages, power outages, and limited access to essential services. Thanks to the collective generosity of Subaru retailers and the communities we serve, an additional $18,427 was raised. This brings the total impact to $418,427, or over 4,100,000 meals for those in need. "As one of the nation's largest disaster relief organizations, the Feeding America network of food banks and partner agencies is deeply rooted in communities across the country. Together, our partnership with trusted Subaru dealers has helped expedite emergency food assistance and supplies to people who need it most. We are immensely grateful," said Feeding America Chief Development Officer Casey Marsh.

From the moment the event kicked off, the excitement was palpable. We waived all adoption fees to ensure that cost wouldnt be a barrier for families eager to welcome a new pet into their lives. The response was overwhelming! By the end of the day, every single cat had found a forever home, and 7 dogs had wagged their way into the hearts of new families. To add to the festive atmosphere, we hosted a free hot dog truck on-site, where guestsboth human and caninecould enjoy a tasty treat. The joy and laughter were contagious as everyone celebrated the day's success together. This event was more than just an adoption day; it was a testament to the power of community and the Subaru Love Promise in action. Were grateful to everyone who came out to support, adopt, and share in the joy of finding these animals the loving homes they deserve. At Subaru of Wesley Chapel, we believe that every pet deserves a safe and happy home. Our Pet Adoption Event was a shining example of how we can come together to make a difference, one wagging tail and purring kitty at a time. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future as we continue to support our local community and its furry residents.

Christmas in July Toy Drive with St. Josephs Childrens Hospital - Grace F

At Subaru of Wesley Chapel, we believe in the power of giving back to our community. This year, our Christmas in July Toy Drive was a shining example of our commitment to spreading love and joy, especially to the children who need it most. In partnership with St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa, we embarked on a mission to bring smiles to young faces and warmth to their hearts. With immense enthusiasm and support from our customers and community, we managed to fill a Subaru Ascent with a mountain of toys, each one carefully selected to bring a smile to a childs face. But the giving didnt stop there. Understanding the hospital's critical need for funds to support its programs and services, Subaru of Wesley Chapel also made a $15,000 donation to St. Josephs Childrens Hospital, helping to ensure that these young patients receive the best possible care and support. On delivery day, our team, along with the fully loaded Ascent, arrived at the hospital. We were greeted by hospital staff who shared our enthusiasm. Together, we began unloading the toys, each one destined to brighten a child's day. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this heartwarming initiative. Your support has made a significant difference, and together, we've shown that love knows no season. Here's to many more acts of kindness and community spirit in the future.

At Subaru of Wesley Chapel, we believe in the power of community and the difference a little love can make. Our commitment to the Subaru Love Promise is at the heart of everything we do, and one of the most fulfilling ways we live this promise is by giving back to our local community. Recently, our incredible team spent a day volunteering at the Tampa Bay Humane Society, bringing joy to some of the most loyal companions in need the dogs waiting for their forever homes. The experience was more than just a walk in the park; it was an opportunity to connect, care, and create lasting memories. Walking the dogs was more than just a chance to stretch our legs; it was an opportunity to provide these animals with the exercise, stimulation, and socialization they needed. In addition to walking, our volunteers spent time playing with the dogs in designated play areas. Whether it was a game of fetch, a belly rub, or simply sitting together, these moments of interaction were invaluable. We saw firsthand the positive impact that attention and affection can have on an animals well-being. Volunteering at the Tampa Bay Humane Society was a reminder of the importance of giving back to our community. It reinforced our commitment to the Subaru Love Promise and our belief in supporting causes that matter. Thank you, Tampa Bay Humane Society, for the opportunity to make a difference. We look forward to many more days of shared love and service.
